Corintech is Awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal

In 2023, Corintech took a bold step to improve our commitment to sustainability. Recognising the necessity of not only advocating for but also implementing sustainable practices. We chose to pursue an internationally approved sustainability rating, an essential factor for smart business today to show and demonstrate our dedication to sustainability.

Following extensive research, Corintech chose the EcoVadis sustainability rating platform, renowned for its comprehensive evaluation framework and widespread recognition in our sector. We chose EcoVadis not just for its capacity to accurately represent our sustainability initiatives, but also for its reputation for promoting transparency and accountability in corporate processes.

EcoVadis serves as a collaborative platform, allowing businesses to not only examine their environmental and social impact but also that of their suppliers. This is particularly noteworthy as the number of organisations assessed by EcoVadis increased from 70,000 in 2020 to over 500,000 last year, highlighting the growing emphasis on sustainability across the global business landscape.

The EcoVadis evaluation framework is based on internationally recognised sustainability criteria, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000. It covers 175 countries, providing a comprehensive Sustainability Scorecard that ranks companies on 21 indicators across four critical themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

This thorough assessment approach looked closely into several aspects of our business. We presented a wide array of documentation, from corporate policies and reports to proof of internal training, audits, and safety protocols, demonstrating our firm commitment to adopting sustainable policies, practices, and procedures throughout our business.

Corintech earned its first sustainability evaluation from EcoVadis in November 2023 and was awarded a silver medal. This recognition not only represents a key milestone in our sustainability journey but also places Corintech in the 83rd percentile of all companies examined by EcoVadis globally. This accomplishment demonstrates our company's exceptional performance and unwavering dedication to sustainable principles.

Furthermore, this recognition is consistent with our ongoing commitment to continual development in sustainability. Knowing that the landscape of corporate responsibilities is always evolving, Corintech is currently focused on capitalising on these results.
