PCB Assembly Services in the UK

From Prototype to Production

Corintech provides reliable PCB assembly services from our UK manufacturing facility, supporting customers from small-batch builds through to higher-volume production.

With over 40 years of experience in electronics, we provide surface mount and through-hole PCB assembly, component procurement, inspection, functional testing and quality control for a wide range of applications.

Our wider engineering capabilities also mean we can support projects from PCB design through to production, helping customers move from development into manufacture.

Still developing your product? Our electronic design and PCB engineering teams can also support your project before it reaches manufacture.

PCB Assembly Capabilities

Our UK PCB assembly facilities support a wide range of board technologies, component types and production requirements.

Our capabilities include:

  • Surface mount technology (SMT) assembly
  • Pick-and-place of components down to 01005 and uBGAs
  • Conventional through-hole PCB assembly
  • Mixed SMT and through-hole assemblies
  • FR4, T-clad, steel and ceramic substrates
  • Component procurement
  • Serialisation and barcoding
  • Conformal coating and encapsulation
  • Functional testing
  • 3D automated optical inspection
  • Component traceability to batch and board level
  • Small-batch and volume production

All workmanship is carried out to J-STD-001 standards, with inspection completed in accordance with IPC-A-610 quality classifications. Corintech also operates in accordance with our ISO 9001 quality management accreditation.

Quality, Testing and Traceability

Quality is built into our PCB assembly process.

All workmanship is carried out to J-STD-001 standards, with inspection completed in accordance with IPC-A-610 quality classifications. Corintech also operates in accordance with our ISO 9001 quality management accreditation.

Once assembled, builds are inspected using our CyberOptics SQ3000 3D automated optical inspection system and visually checked by IPC-A-610 trained quality engineers.

Our processes also provide component traceability down to batch and board level, with serialisation and barcoding available where required.

Functional testing can also be incorporated into production according to the requirements of the project.

From PCB Design to Manufacture

If your product is not yet ready for assembly, Corintech can also support the earlier stages of development.

Our engineering team provides PCB design and layout services, alongside wider electronic design capabilities, helping customers move projects from design through to manufacture.

Get a PCB Assembly Quote

To prepare a PCB assembly quotation, our team will normally require:

  • Gerber files
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • PCB specification
  • Required quantities
  • Test specification, where applicable
  • Any additional project information

Our production engineering team reviews the documentation for any discrepancies before our purchasing team obtains pricing for the PCB and components. Production planning then adds lead time and labour requirements before our sales team issues the quotation.

The quote will include pricing, lead time and any component alternatives where applicable.

Not ready with all your production information yet? You can still speak to our team about your project and the support you need.
