Cutting Edge Electronics Manufacturing Centre Unveiled

Corintech celebrated the official opening of a new electronics manufacturing centre at their headquarters in Fordingbridge. The new cutting-edge facility, which has brought Corintech to the forefront of the electronics manufacturing sector, was officially unveiled by the RT. HON. Desmond Swayne TD MP. The event was a great success and production at the new facility has now begun.

The installation of the Europlacer iineo 1 at Corintech provides the highest level of flexibility and feeder count within the industry. This new multi function SMT pick and place platform has been branded as "one machine with no limits". Possibilities are almost unlimited as the new machine has the capability of almost any configuration, with all heads and nozzle positions able to place a full range of components.

Features of this new machine, as standard, are listed below:

• PCB sizes from 60mm x 60mm up to 1610mm x 460mm
• rotary turret heads with 8 or 12 placement nozzles
• feeder positions – 264 x 8mm
• Jedec storage positions – up to 10 internal trays
• component size – 01005 to 99mm x 99mm
• component weight & height – 300g and 34mm
• component testing capability – with independently verifiable calibration (UKAS / NIST / PTB… etc.)*
• dispensing – archemedes or air/time for glue or solder paste*
• every nozzle position can place all and any component types, for real line balancing and no limitations
• odd form & smart nozzle banks
