After an average English summer we’ve recently experienced a few of the hottest ever October days recorded, which is perfect for us here at Corintech to test our new WiFi temperature and humidity sensor.   We’re currently thoroughly testing the first batch of Corintech designed and manufactured sensors replicating as many WiFi scenarios as possible so that we’re 110% confident with the new product before it’s launched.

I’m also pleased to inform you that we’ve had our version of a cabinet reshuffle here at Corintech.  Myself and Dean James have temporarily swapped roles to further our experience and in-depth knowledge of the business and its operations.  Dean is currently head of Production learning absolutely everything he ever wanted to know about our Materials Requirement Planning system and he’s also looking at ways to improve efficiencies that can be passed onto our contract manufacturing customers.

I’m now heading up the Sales and Marketing team, so I’m more involved with quotes and have already been out and about promoting our products at trade shows.  I’m also assisting our contract manufacturing customers with forward planning to ensure continued supply at a competitive price.  I look forward to receiving your latest Sales Order soon!

As always,  we welcome the opportunity to quote for any contract manufacturing you require or if you have an idea for a new product, or need help with an element of design or manufacture, please contact sean.wigmore@corintech.com

Simon Wyre – Research Manager

I joined Lascar Electronics, Corintech’s sister company, in 1983. Before that I worked for G&R Electronics (now part of Dowty), Philips and British Aerospace. I have a HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with many years experience in guided weapons, integrated circuit manufacture and static inverters. In my time at Lascar I have had a major role in the design of panel meters, the company’s first data logger range and an internet-connected data logger. Latterly I have been designing and writing applications for the Panel Pilot graphical panel meter range.

I have been seconded to Corintech to redevelop a personal temperature logger. This brings together my skills in electronic circuit design, programming, LCD graphics and EMC compliance testing.

Away from work I enjoy outdoor pursuits, including cycling, country sports and woodland conservation work. I am also studying off-grid solar power systems and other low-carbon technologies.

Tim Dench – QA Supervisor

I have recently joined Corintech as the Quality Assurance Supervisor.   My role here is very varied but generally involves dealing with any customer issues and ensuring that the highest standards are met throughout the whole process of delivering high quality products to our customers.

I previously worked in the Group in a number of different roles. Most of my time was spent supporting Trade Aid, a charity working in east Africa to develop employment

opportunities and business skills that is largely funded by Corintech.   I have spent several years living and working in Tanzania and I still run social and fundraising events for a small trust fund in my spare time which gives me an opportunity to indulge in my hobbies of rugby, cricket, food and drink and going for adventures in Africa.
