Editor's Message |
Last year provided challenging trading conditions around the world as governments and businesses realised just how dependent they are on each other and that we really do live within a global economy. The uncertainty around the eurozone debt crisis has dragged into the New Year but fortunately for Corintech we’re in excellent shape as the business is debt free and the Group is able to spread risk around the globe with its business hubs in the UK, USA and Hong Kong. Despite gloomy forecasts at the beginning of the year, Corintech outperformed its rivals with an 8% growth in turnover during 2011 and has optimistic targets for the coming year. For Corintech, 2011 was an exciting year in which we launched our first ever standard product, the EL-DataPad. This touch-screen, hand-held viewer was commissioned by our sister company Lascar so users of their Easy Log USB data loggers could configure units, download data and view logging results on-the spot rather than removing the logger from the environment being measured and taking it to their PC. The EL-DataPad was entirely designed and manufactured by Corintech and is the electronic platform for several other new devices we’ll be launching later this year. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, all our customers, for your business and support throughout the year and I wish you all a prosperous 2012. New Managing Director |
The observant amongst you may have noticed I have a new title. I’m extremely pleased to be able to officially announce that after working at Corintech for 25 years I’ve finally reached the top of the ladder and am the proud new Managing Director of Corintech Ltd. I started off life here in the Quality Assurance department and over the years I've also worked in Purchasing and Operations, so have a thorough understanding of the entire business and feel more than qualified to lead the company into a new phase of its history. My objectives whilst at the helm include expanding our operations in Hong Kong to enable us to benefit from new emerging technologies and competitively priced manufacturing options, to strengthen the CEM managerial and operations teams here in the UK and to establish Corintech as a company with its own range of WiFi standard products. I hope you’ll enjoy the experience of benefiting from our continued growth and development as a creative, technology driven business. |
