Corintech Appoints Industrial Design Engineer.

This week, Corintech has announced the appointment of Gareth James to its Electronic Product Design Team.

Since graduating six years ago with a BSc (Hons) in Product Design, Gareth has gained significant design experience across industry and in the automotive sector in particular. It is especially notable that whilst Gareth has proven practical design experience he has retained his creative and artistic flair for providing innovative yet cost effective design solutions. So much so, that his designs have won several “Best Product in Class” awards from trade magazines and at industry exhibitions.

Gareth’s particular strengths include being an adaptable and expressive product stylist, with extensive experience of product development in metal and plastics. He is equally adept at working in 2D and 3D in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and excels in fast prototyping and model making.

Gareth’s appointment neatly complements the skills of the other design engineers, allowing Corintech to offer its clients an effective end to end design and manufacturing service. This ranges from defining a product concept through design and on to the manufacture of complex electronic assemblies. The whole ethos of the design team is to ensure real value is added at each stage and to reduce the clients overall cost of acquisition.

Despite his challenging and exciting new role Gareth still makes the time to assist in the local community, by being an instructor for the British Disabled Water Ski Association (BDWSA), located at the ski lakes close to Corintech in the New Forrest.
